Turkısh Döner

Merhaba.

I write from Turkey. From Antalya, a city beside meditranıan sea, on the northern coast and with a very typıcal mıddle eastern but not Iranıan type of nature.

Actually maybe ıt ıs non sence to call ıt not Iranıan but mıddle eastern because you can face more and less thıs nature ın southern parts of Iran but not Northern Iran (where I am from). Type of trees and the way they decorate their praks are different. Maybe something like Arabic countires. I dont feel so much home because of nature but it doesn't mean that ıt ıs not great and I completley enjoy this nature. I love ıt, I should say. Nature ıs cool and the weather ıs warm around +30 degrees celsius degree. But I feel so much home at the same time as the poeple are exactly like Iranıans. The way boys and gırls dress up and try to be fancy. But wıth one dıfference that ın Iran ı guess gırls try to be more fancy than boys but here boys look more updated with fashıon.

They speak turkısh, we have such a language ( not exactly the same but somethıng very sımilar to Turkish called Azerı whıch ıs my fathers mother language and because of hıs lazyness to speak ıt at home I just know some sentences, nothıng more ).
But as culturally Iran and Turkey share alot of thıngs I understand more and less and can sometimes speak Turkısh wıth them. They have quite alot Persian words as well or Arabic words. The food ıs quıte the same with small differences in herbs and people are frıendly. I kınd of feel home here ... So cool ...

Today I trıed turkısh Hamam and message, more than great :-) We have this type of bathrooms in Iran as well ... My grandfather in a village owned one of these big bathrooms. I even remember these types( not exactly this type but public bath with rooms that you could lock yourself inside and take your bath alone :-D not with everyone being able to see you ) when I was a small kid but it is along time that I havent seen them around in capital anymore or at least I dont know where they are. They were popular when the houses did not have their own bathroom ... Whatever it was a good idea to keep it I guess ... Turks are earning good moeny over it. I payed 300 Norwegian kroner for two types of messages.

I think I wıll wrıte more after flyıng to Norway. Now I am wrıtıng from an ınternet cafe...

Oops ... before I finish I should mention their beers are SOOOOO GREAT :-D

Gülagüla ...

Abizaid: World Could Abide Nuclear Iran ...

The Associated Press: Abizaid: World Could Abide Nuclear Iran

I read this news the first time in Norwegian in VG, I was kind of shocked but really even if Iran would turn into a nuclear power that can't be that bad that Americans and Israelis advertise it. I mean ofcourse those who have power in Iran know that if they bomb Israel, Israel sure will bomb them back !!! So, even if there would be a nuclear bomb there ( which is not and officials has announced thousands of times that it is not on Iranian nuclear program to build up a nuclear bomb ), it will be just for defensing our borders as countries around us are armed with these damn weapons one by one. Israel, Turkey ( NATO ), Pakistan, India, Russia, ...

Whatever, I can't write without taking sides but I just hope things work out without a big damn war ... I hate it ... The whole middle east will burn if Americans attack and poor people in Iran, Israel and Lebanon and Palestine if Israel attacks Iran. Half of the Middle east will burn so bad.

Today there was another news on breaking newses and it was another threat this time from Iranian part :
---------------------------------------------
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- The deputy commander of Iran's air force said Wednesday that plans have been drawn up to bomb Israel if the Jewish state attacks Iran, according to the semiofficial Fars news agency.

This is the original text from Iranian News Agency, Fars :

Iran Plans Retaliatory Air Strikes on Israel

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- A senior Iranian air force commander said his troops have prepared operational plans to retaliate against Israel's possible air strikes on the Islamic Republic.

"Israel's rhetoric about air strike (on Iran) is just psychological warfare, because this regime does not have the power to launch air strikes on Iran. Israel is not capable of posing a serious threat to Iran because it does not have the actual power and capabilities needed," Air force lieutenant commander for operations General Mohammad Alavi told FNA here on Wednesday.

He reminded that Israel is within the range of Iranian missiles while "we can also attack them by our fighter planes and respond to their possible air strikes," although Israel is unlikely to launch a strike on Iran.

The General warned that the Iranian air force is not boasting, and said, "Such a plan is not just a hollow threat and we do everything on the basis of correct and precise planning and we have gained the needed readiness. Thus, Israel should give up foolishness."

He further dismissed enemies' propaganda about blitzkriegs on specific Iranian targets, and said, "We have gained the required preparedness to confront different plans and strategies and we do not allow their fighters to launch such easy attacks on our country as they allege."

The senior commander assured that enemy air force will lose average 30% of its fighters during any possible blitzkrieg on Iran.

He said that Iranian air force has distributed its RADAR sites according to a special pattern that it can pick up any belligerent move on the screen immediately.

"A majority of our blind points have been covered and all flying objects are under our control. Our air defense plans are also of variety and use such special tactics that have placed us in a unique position," he continued.

The General said that all the country's borders are controlled by Iranian RADAR systems and other electronic equipment 24-hour a day, adding that alien troops in the region are well informed of the said capabilities of the Iranian army.

He said Iran monitors all activities round the clock and would provide immediate response to any air intrusions.

The General further dismissed some recent reports that Iran is not equipped with the needed capabilities to counter Cruise Missiles, and said, "We have gained the required preparedness to confront these missiles, we have studied their performance and volume and range of fire and we have the needed systems to confront them."

"Children of the army are ready to respond to any enemy attack, irrespective of the number of missiles and fighters used by the enemy," he continued.
---------------------------------------------------------

And yet another threat from Iran, this time Iranian defense minister :

DM: Iran to Give Various Responses to US Threats

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- In clear reaction to the recent statements by the US Secretary that Washington has different options on the table for confronting Tehran, Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said his country is also ready to give various responses to such threats.

Speaking to reporters on the threshold of the 'Week of Holy Defense' - marking the start of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran - here on Wednesday, General Najjar said, "We too believe that diplomatic means and agreements with the (International Atomic Energy) Agency set the best track and option for resolving Iran's nuclear issue."

"But the economic option which means the path of sanctions lacks efficiency and has already failed," he said in response to Rumsfeld who had stressed that the United States seeks to confront Iran through diplomatic and economic means while it also has other options available.

"As regards repetition of this statement that the US is also considering other options, I should say that we also have a variety of options and responses to these threats and options that we will use according to the conditions and whenever required," the minister added.

Meantime, Najjar said that the new US Secretary of Defense seems to enjoy more rationality in comparison with his hawkish and warmongering predecessor.
----------------------------------------

When both sides are just threating each other, I just hope this damn conflict wouldn't end up in military conflict. Poor all those innocent people who might die in the middle of the hell that might be created all around middle east.

Iran & Egypt ... Friends, Enemies, Friends, Enemies, ... Now what ?

Iran and Egypt can be called super powers of the Middle east beside Saudi Arabia. The others, with full respect, are more and less followers. This being a type of follower has divided Middle east in two parts, The Shiite Side and The Sunni Side.
  • The Shiite side is consist of these countries leaded by Iran : Iran, Iraq( used to be on the other side under Saddam dictatorship but has recently changed position as with elections Shiite got more power in Parliament), Syria, Lebanon(Should be counted on both list, as some groups have more interests toward Egypt and Saudi Arabia), Palestine(Giza, under rule of Hamas Group ).
  • The Sunni side which has so many countries on its list and is mostly leaded by two powerful countries on this side Egypt and Saudi Arabia : Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordon, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, U.A.E, Oman, Lebanon(Should be counted on both list, as some groups have more interests toward Iran and Syria), Palestine (West bank, under the rule of Fatah Group ) ...
Right or Wrong, less or more, this division exist in todays middle east politic and with all differences and conflicts, these people call eachother brothers when it comes to public meetings and ofcourse has full political relationship. But, there is a exception !!! IRAN & EGYPT ! Two years after Iranian 1979 revolution against the Monarchy system in Iran, Iran officially cut all ties with Egypt. This move was a response to the 1978 Camp David Accords. In 1981 Egypt supported Saddam in war against Iran and the relation got worse and worse. Late 2003, Iranian President Mohammad Khatami met with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Geneva. Khatami openly invited Mubarak to Iran, but Mubarak refused to make such a trip or normalize relations until Iran changes the street name in Tehran (In 1981, Iran symbolically dedicated a street to Khaled Islambouli, Sadat's assassin). Recently Iran signaled toward Egypt agian, with president Ahmadinejad saying in his press conference in Dubai that he would open Iranian embassy once again in Egypt in 24 hours if Egyptians want to have political relation with Iran. But actually there was nearly no or very few weak words from Egyptian part.
But suddenly few days ago News agencies reported about an Iranian official visiting Egypt, with no official news coverage, to negotiate about a near meeting between Iranian and Egyptian foreign minsters. As usual things happens behind the curtains and usually they work out back there but not in front of media ! Anyway, now Tehran officially hasn't commented this act at all but Egyptians confirmed the news officially. The funny part is both sides claiming unofficially that they have not asked for negotiation but the other part has asked for it !!!

No matter what has happened, this is a good news for both countries and both sides that two super powers in Middle east who has deep influence in their side, sit at a table and negotiate. Negotiation is always a good idea, no matter who is sitting on the other side.

The story of life, Number 2 !!!

Life is a process of learning ... What we learn is not always easy for us but it is very important that we stand, listen carefully, judge criticisms without prejudice and ACCEPT our faults at the end ...

If I manage to do this process then I guess I can call myself a grown up person or at least ...

There is a poem in Iranian culture saying :

From the cradle till the grave, look for science ...

The photo below showing Dr. Hesabi at his last hour of his life. He was the real sample of this Iranian poem ... Iranians are all born and raised with Iranian culture ... Bad or Good, we are Iranians, sons and daughters of huge Iranian literature ... We live with poems and our ancestors stories, which build up Iranian culture and literature ...

My shots

The story of life ...

Some days are good, some days are bad ...

Whatever, I got this photo or painting or whatever from a friend ... It is life, probably everyone experience it in this way, More or Less ...

Are you a Persian or a Kurd ?

Probably every Iranian has heard this NON FAMILIAR question OUT of Iran ! It is very rare to hear such a thing in Iran. I mean, if I translate this question word to word to Persian language, then the answer might be yes or no as the person might have come from Fars province or not and no matter what the answer is, there is a big misunderstanding for both the one who asks or the one who answers. Because the one who answerers has thought if the question was that he was from a special province in Iran which had nothing to do with Persian being but we know that the one who asked meant something totally different !!!!

In Iranians daily conversations, you might hear people asking where you are from in Iran ( probably as you hear it inside Iran and you are talking in Persian and we don't so many immigrants in Iran, the question means where in Iran you are from which has nothing to do with your ethnicity but the place you come from ), but it would never mean that which tribe you are from ? Actually people don't belong to tribes back there or at least most of them but provinces or cities.

As you can see in world map, Iran is like a bridge which connects east and west. From long ago this land has been the cradle of the old Silk road from which used to start from China to Europe and Africa. This cradle was always a good place for new people from all around the world to come and settle down for commerce or lifetime. That's why we have nearly every type of people in Iran. From blonde hairs to light brown, dark brown and Black at the end, we even have BLACK Iranians who might be more Iranian than me who is a white with black hair. IN ONE WORD, WE ARE MIXED !!! Ethnicity which can connect you to a tribe is dead back there cause of mass mixture between different people. We can always claim that we have roots to old Iranians but I, as an Iranian have no proof to show that I have pure Persian, Median or Parthian( Different Iranian tribes who migrated to Iran more than 3000 years ago ) blood !!! Even claiming that I am pure Persian can be a very big joke! Who knows whose grandmother were not forced to get married to a Greek, Mongol, Turk or other invaders !!! As Iran was a bridge and most of our enemies would like to control this bridge.

Being a Persian is a kind of pride for all the people who live in Iran and call themselves Iranian. It is not just for the ones who speak Persian or something but for all the people in that piece of land and the pride is for all Iranians. Even from the old days we used to call our selves Iranians not Persians ( The Greek were calling us Persians ) or Iranian kingdom not Persian kingdom and it totally is against what Greek called us and contain all of the people who live in Iran. Iran in word means The land which belongs to Aryans ( Indo Europeans ). This name exactly includes KURDS !!! Because actually they were one of the three main Aryan tribes ( Medians ) and they were even the first tribe who created the first Iranian empire in worlds history under the name of Median Kingdom, which afterwards with some changes in the kings became huge Persian empire ( as Greeks called it that ) and it was nonsense because even the founder of this huge kingdom, "Cyrus the great" was a mixed born child from both tribes ( Medians ( Kurds ) & Persians ) !!!

With all the problems that we have inside Iran, we should just take care of one thing and it is that nothing should break up what our ancestors dealed together to keep this land as one unit under Iran name.

Iran should stay Iran, no matter what happens ...

As our old poet said what he had heard from his ancestors :

IF THERE IS NO IRAN, BETTER NOT TO LIVE ( 935. A.D. )

Officially TiErEd ...

If this page is officially me then I am kind of officially tiered. Yeah kind of tiered of the life. Maybe that's why I worked whole summer with no break and right afterwards continued my studies ...

Anyway soon I am going to turkey for a week so I think it would be quite nice to rest a little bit after tiering summer and I would get to see my cousin who I haven't seen him for more than one year. It would be cool I guess but still I am kind of officially tiered of the whole story of life its self and it is not just because of work and other stuffs ... Should confess I don't understand girls much :-(

Kind of depressed I guess ...

Whatever ...

This is officially Shahab.

How things work out for them ?!

I feel mixed up ,,, Confused ... really busy up there in my mind ... Oh well there are some practical things which are so complicated ...

One of these very special things are GIRLS !!! Very hard to read their mind or to predict their next move !!! It just gives me a headache to analyze them and it is very hard for such a conservative person like me whose every move should be safe.

Actually I have no idea what i am writing but I am sure about one thing and it is that I have a headache now :-D

Before sleeping bullshits of the day ...
